The results of moving North-West’s private museums to Moscow in the spotlight of St. Petersburg’s press-conference

The Postcard Museum (Pionerskaya Street, 2, the Tretyakov Gallery) will host a press-conference of the founders of the largest private museums in St. Petersburg and Leningrad Region, The event will sum up the results of the participation in the exhibition "Private Museums of Russia. Russian Nuggets in Moscow" which run on September 7-8 in Moscow.

The press-conference will be attended by heads of private partner museums of the Presidential Library: the Postcard Museum, the Karl Bulla Gallery, the Petrovskaya Akvatoria Museum, the Museum of Ancient Instruments and many others. The meeting will be focused on the information interaction, the necessary measures to support the authorities and holding St. Petersburg joint exhibitions.

The Presidential Library and the Children's Postcard Museum have been developing cooperation since 2012 as part of which many projects, including joint exhibitions, excursions which introduce the Presidential Library to the winners of organized by the museum contests are being implemented. One of the main areas of cooperation is the digitization of postcards from the museum collections and their entering the Presidential Library’s electronic collections. Today, over 18 thousand postcards on various topics such as history, geography, space, art, nature, famous people and others have been digitized.
