The interaction of politics and religion in the spotlight of the Presidential Library

The All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference "Traditional Religions for a Strong Russia: Religious Factor in Foreign Policy Activities" will be held in the Presidential Library on November 6, 2019 at 10:00 Moscow time. The event, dedicated to the National Unity Day, will bring together Russian and foreign theologians; scientific and public figures; representatives of national diasporas and the diplomatic corps, as well as leaders of the student community.

The conference participants will focus on important issues: the relationship between religious and political processes in the modern world; relations between religious organizations and political institutions; the impact of globalization on religious organizations and religious processes; informational counteraction to ethnic and religious extremism; prevention of religious intolerance; Christianophobia; Islamophobia and others.

The All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference "Traditional Religions for a Strong Russia: Religious Factor in Foreign Policy Activities" is organized by the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of St. Petersburg and the North-West Region of Russia.

Such organizations as the St. Petersburg Metropolitanate of the Russian Orthodox Church, the Administration of the Governor of St. Petersburg (Department for Relations with Religious Associations of St. Petersburg), the Administration of the Governor of Leningrad Region, the Great Choral Synagogue in St. Petersburg, the St. Petersburg Buddhist Temple, the St. Petersburg State University, the Institute of Oriental Manuscripts of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia, the St. Petersburg Theological Academy, the Presidential Library, the Foundation for the Support of Islamic Culture, Education and Science will attend the event.

 

Accreditation for media representatives is until November 5, 2019 12:00.

The letter should contain the name, date and place of birth, passport data (series, number, place of registration), a list of carry-on equipment, contact numbers, the name of the media.

Please note that the entrance to the Presidential Library is possible only by pre-registration and upon showing a passport: media representatives go through entrance № 2, for participants and guests of the event go through entrance № 1.
