The Presidential Library to hold Petersburg Embankments International Music Festival

The Presidential Library will host the opening ceremony of the IX Petersburg Embankments International Music Festival on November 2, 2019 at 19:00.

The music festival will start with a concert in memory of the great Italian singer of the 20th century entitled “Omaggio a Renata Tebaldi” (dedication to Renate Tebaldi).

This evening, the audience will hear the soprano Chiara Taigi - the world famous singer of the La Scala Opera House in Milan. She was the only student of Renata Tebaldi and collaborated with Ricardo Muti, Claudio Abbado, Luciano Pavarotti, Placido Domingo, She became a regular guest and friend of St. Petersburg Palaces Music Festival. Belarusian tenor Vladimir Dmitruk - soloist of the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Music Theater and multiple laureate of prestigious international competitions will perform together with Chiara.

As a divertissement, the young Russian pianist Andrei Andreev will perform five piano pieces by Domenico Scarlatti.

In addition, a special music program was prepared for the concert in the Presidential Library, in which arias from Italian and Russian operas will be performed.

The concert will be broadcast live on the Presidential Library’s portal in "Live broadcasts" section.

The concert is organized by the St. Petersburg Palaces International Music Festival.

Please note that journalists enter the Presidential Library through entrance № 2 only upon prior request and upon showing a passport.

The entrance for guests of the event is provided through entrance № 1 upon showing a passport and a ticket.
