The Presidential Library’s exhibition illustrates the way and life of the great weapons designer

The Presidential Library is hosting the exhibition “Weapons Designer and Assault Rifle: the Path of the Great Master. Marking the Centenary of Mikhail Kalashnikov" which will run from November 22, 2019 to January 15, 2020.

The small exposition reflects in a completely new format the main milestones of the path of the great master and spotlights his professional achievements.

The exhibition features personal belongings of Mikhail Kalashnikov, his numerous awards, including the Order of St. Andrew the First-Called, official photographs and little-known photographs from the family archive, unique documents: employment record book, certificate of an amateur chauffeur, membership card of the Hunting and Fishing Union and others. Part of the exposition is dedicated to the famous Kalashnikov’s assault rifle: it showcases samples of weapons, including the AK-47 of 1950, test-run magazines and a patent for an invention.
