Presidential Library provides online broadcasting of films and lectures

The Presidential Library’s portal from Monday to Friday in Live broadcasts section provides broadcasting of films, video lectures and tours prepared by the Presidential Library, as well as by leading film studios of the country.

In accordance with the broadcast program, on September 1, Knowledge Day, users will be able to watch a documentary film, the hero of which is a drawing teacher from Staraya Russa, publisher of the All-Russian magazine for children about art "Vvedenskaya Storona" Nikolai Lokot’kov. The artist, teacher and publisher has firmly established himself in the Russian outback, while everyone is trying to quickly leave it. What keeps him there? The answer to this question is given by the film “Drawing Teacher. The History of a Magazine”, filmed by the staff of the Presidential Library.

“From War to Peace ...” is the title of a video about the Presidential Library’s exhibition dedicated to the final stage of World War II. One can learn about what preceded the largest armed conflict in the history of mankind from the video lecture "The USSR and International Relations in Europe on the Eve and at the Beginning of World War II". 

The Presidential Library invites users, without leaving their homes, to visit a video tour dedicated to the exhibition "Spreading Healthy and Patriotic Thoughts", which deals with projects of social and political publications in Russia in the second quarter of the 19th century.

On the day of the 140th anniversary of the creation of the first tram in Russia, users will be able to watch the video lecture “Tram - the transport of the future”.

Thee video lectures presented as part of the educational project of the Presidential Library "Video lecture hall "Knowledge of Russia" will spotlight Alexei Konstantinovich Tolstoy in life and literature; the topical and the eternal in his works; the ties the writer and poet with St. Petersburg,

The popular science film "Ships of Frozen Seas", filmed at the Lennauchfilm studio, will be shown on the Presidential Library’s portal. The film tells about the history of the creation of the icebreaker fleet of Russia from the first Pomorsk koch to nuclear icebreakers; about the work of several generations of Russian scientists, navigators, shipbuilders; about today's training of highly professional personnel for the nuclear fleet.   

This week, users will be able to learn about the films from the collection of the Russian Historical Channel. One of them - "The Great Northern War" - will tell about the events that preceded the war of 1700-1721, its course, the results and influence on the history of Russia of that period. The second is “Alexey Brusilov. The Mystery of Memoirs" - will reveal little-known facts about the fate of the Russian and Soviet commander Alexei Brusilov, commander-in-chief of the South-Western Front during the First World War, and in Soviet Russia - the chief inspector of the cavalry of the Workers' and Peasants' Red Army.
