Let's celebrate Christmas holidays together. Films about miraculous phenomena available on the Presidential Library’s portal

The Presidential Library’s portal from Monday to Friday in Live broadcasts section provides broadcasting of films, video lectures and tours prepared by the Presidential Library, as well as by leading film studios of the country.

In accordance with the broadcasting program, on the days before Christmas, the Presidential Library's portal will provide animated films based on biblical subjects created by creative laboratories from different regions of Russia, as well as within the framework of the Presidential Library project “In the beginning was the Word”. Together with adults - scriptwriters, artists, directors - young animators were also involved in the work - pupils of creative houses, centers of additional education, correctional educational institutions and Sunday schools. Cartoons are made in various techniques: Claymation, sand, hand-drawn.

A video lecture "Russian icon in the collection of the Novgorod Museum-Reserve" will be shown on the Presidential Library’s portal this week. This is a great opportunity to learn about the outstanding and most interesting monuments from the collection of ancient Russian painting, numbering one and a half thousand icons of the mid-11th - early 20th centuries.

Thanks to the broadcast of the Presidential Library's film "The Saved Frescoes of the Cathedral of the Nativity of the Virgin of the Novgorod Anthony Monastery", each user will have the opportunity, without leaving home, to visit one of the centers of the spiritual life of Russia, which history begins in the XII century. Documentary information about the life of the founder and first abbot of the monastery, St. Anthony, and the saved unique frescoes of the cathedral, which have survived to our time, allow feeling the atmosphere of that period, touching high art and feeling like a part of a great people.

“Lessons in Loyalty and Love. Saint Blessed Xenia of St. Petersburg” is the title of the film, the plot of which is based on the life story of the patron saint of St. Petersburg, as well as on the stories of the most famous predictions and miracles associated with her name.
