The Presidential Library invites to visit Baikal

The multimedia exhibition "Baikal - a World Treasure" launches at the Presidential Library on October 25, 2021. The exposition is prepared by the National Library of Republic of Buryatia, a partner of the Presidential Library.

Lake Baikal is one of the most unique natural attractions in the world. For more than 20 years, Baikal has been included in the UNESCO World Natural Heritage List.

Fascinating with its pristine nature and mysteriousness the lake is located almost in the very center of Asia on the border of Buryatia and Irkutsk Region.

The exhibition is prepared in the “live” photo format. Animated slides help to convey to the visitors a special atmosphere of their stay at Lake Baikal.

The purpose of the exposition is the dissemination of environmental knowledge, the prevention of environmental offenses in specially protected natural areas and the patriotic education of young people.

The Presidential Library’s collections contain more than 600 electronic materials about Lake Baikal: visual and video materials, as well as book publications.

Accreditation for media representatives

The letter should contain the full name, date and place of birth, passport data (series, number, place of registration), a list of carry-on equipment, contact phone numbers, the name of the media.

We draw the attention of the media representatives that it is necessary to forward applications for accreditation and arrive at the event in advance.

Entrance to the Presidential Library is carried out only by prior registration and upon showing a passport: for media representatives - through entrance № 2, participants and guests of the event - through entrance № 1.

In order to reduce the risks of the spread of a new coronavirus infection (COVID-19), the use of personal protective equipment during the event is mandatory for all attendees.
