The Presidential Library to tell about the constitutional right of citizens to protect the family, motherhood and childhood

On April 29, 2022 at 11:00 Moscow time the Presidential Library will host a video lecture entitled “The Constitutional Right of Citizens to Protect Motherhood and Childhood and the Family” as part of the Knowledge of Russia project. The event will continue the cycle of lectures "Man, his rights and freedoms - the highest constitutional value".

The author of the lecture is Doctor of Law, Professor, Head of the Department of State Law of the Pushkin Leningrad State University Vadim Mamonov. He will focus on the constitutional support and protection of the institution of the family by the state, about the duties of parents to raise children and the duty of able-bodied children to take care of their parents and will reveal the main guarantees of the rights of the child in the Russian Federation.

The materials from the practice of the Commissioner for the Rights of the Russian Federation under the President of the Russian Federation, the Constitutional Court and the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation will be used at the event.

The history of the fundamental law of our country is available in the Presidential Library’s materials. They are presented in the special digital collection Constitution - Basic Law. The collection includes the texts of the constitutions of the Russian state of various historical eras - the first constitution of the RSFSR of 1918, three constitutions of the USSR (1924, 1936 and 1977), the constitutions of the RSFSR of 1925, 1937 and 1978, the Constitution of the Russian Federation of 1993, as well as original texts and editions of the constitutions of individual subjects of the Russian Federation.

Interactive lessons and video lectures are regularly held at the Presidential Library. Detailed information is available on the institution's portal in Multimedia Lessons section and in the Video lecture - for school section, which features records of lectures and open lessons held at the Presidential Library.

The event is free. The meeting will be held in person and will be broadcast on the Presidential Library’s portal in Live broadcasts section in accordance with the program of live events, on the VKontakte social network, on the institution's RuTube- and Telegram channels.

We draw the attention of the media representatives that it is necessary to forward applications for accreditation and arrive at the event in advance.

Entrance to the Presidential Library is carried out only by prior registration and upon showing a passport: for media representatives - through entrance № 2, participants and guests of the event - through entrance № 1.

In order to reduce the risks of the spread of a new coronavirus infection (COVID-19), the use of personal protective equipment during the event is mandatory for all attendees.
