The Presidential Library spotlights festive events of "Under the Protection of the Mother of God "Theotokos of Tikhvin"" festival

July 9 is the Day of the Tikhvin Icon of the Mother of God. In honor of this significant date, within the framework of the festival “Under the Protection of the Mother of God "Theotokos of Tikhvin"" on July 7, the festival of sacred music “Tikhvin Blagovest”, and on July 9, a bishop’s service and a concert with the participation of choir ensembles and professional ringers from St. Petersburg, Leningrad Region and Kazan will be held.

The founders of the festival "Under the Protection of the Mother of God "Theotokos of Tikhvin"" are the Tikhvin diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate) and the Northern Palmyra Foundation. The events are supported by the Committee for Culture and Tourism of Leningrad Region. The Tikhvin diocese is also a co-founder of the festival of sacred music "Tikhvin Blagovest", aimed at popularizing the traditions and achievements of musical and singing Russian and world culture. Festivals are held on the Leningrad land for the third time.

The information partner of the festive events is the Presidential Library. The events will be broadcast on the Presidential Library’s portal in Live broadcasts section in accordance with the program of live events, as well as on the institution's Rutube- and Telegram-channels online. The concert will also be shown on the Vkontakte social network.

July 9, 9:45 – Episcopal celebration and a concert with the participation of choir ensembles and professional bell ringers from St. Petersburg, Leningrad Region and Kazan.
