Future technologies for Arctic Territories exhibited at the Presidential Library
From March 29 to April 18, 2023 the exhibition "The Arctic - the Territory of Innovative and Environmental Technologies" is held at the Presidential Library.
The socio-economic development of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation in our country has become the goal of the state program. Special attention is traditionally paid to the development of the northern territories. The Presidential Library’s exposition will help visitors to see what positive changes await the region in the future.
The exhibition "The Arctic - the Territory of Innovative and Environmental Technologies" showcases the architectural and creative works of Vitaly Troshin - Chairman of the Arctic Commission, Head of the Center for Research on Artificial Habitats in Extreme Conditions of the Moscow Architectural Institute, member of the Arctic Council of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly.
Vitaly Alekseevich Troshin is an architect, artist, scientist, inventor, teacher and public figure. Northern Region has become for him a fruitful creative environment and a launching pad for creating a new direction in the architecture of the Arctic - such projects as Ecotecture of Extreme Environments, Walking Objects and Nomadic Settlements.
The Presidential Library’s exhibition showcases these innovative developments, as well as with the artist's picturesque canvases, which depict a harsh but charming land.
The exposition features works of graduate students of the St. Petersburg College of Architecture and Civil Engineering, made in different techniques: compositional modeling, posters, etc. The project of a boarding school on a multifunctional eco-friendly walking platform deserves special attention. Such platforms, the so-called walking cities, may appear in the near future in the Arctic.
