Cooperation between religious and public organizations to consider at the Presidential Library

On April 25, 2023 at 13:00 the Presidential Library will host the conference "Traditional Religions - Spiritual and Moral Unity of Russia". The organizer of the event is the administration of Leningrad Region.

The conference will be attended by Alexander Drozdenko, Governor of Leningrad Region, Alexander Beglov, Governor of St. Petersburg, Sergey Perminov, Deputy Chairman of the Committee of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on Regulations and Organization of Parliamentary Activities, and Konstantin Malofeev, Deputy Chairman of the International Public Organization World Russian People's Council.

The program includes speeches by representatives of religious organizations:

  • Bishop of Tikhvin and Lodeynoe Pole Mstislav;
  • Bishop Mitrofan of Gatchina and Luga;
  • Bishop of Vyborg and Priozersk Ignatius;
  • Chairman of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of St. Petersburg and the North-Western Region of Russia Ravil Pancheev;
  • Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy Dam Darzha Zayaev Gabja Lama of the Buddhist University "Dashi Choynhorlin" (Ivolginsky datsan) of the Buddhist Traditional Sangha of Russia Badma Markhaev;
  • Chairman of the board of the local religious organization of Orthodox Judaism "Jewish Community of the Great Choral Synagogue of St. Petersburg" Mark Grubarg.

Deputies of the State Duma of the Russian Federation from Leningrad Region, deputies of the Legislative Assembly of the region, public and scientific figures are also invited to participate in the conference.

The proposal of the Governor of Leningrad Region on the creation of a regional branch of the public organization "World Russian People's Council" will be discussed among the topical issues of cooperation between religious and public organizations, educational institutions as well as the authorities.

Accreditation of media representatives is until 14:00 April 24, 2023.

The letter should contain the full name, date and place of birth, passport data (series, number, place of registration), a list of carry-on equipment, contact phone numbers, the name of the media.

We draw the attention of the media representatives that it is necessary to forward applications for accreditation and arrive at the event in advance.

Entrance to the Presidential Library is carried out only by prior registration and upon showing a passport: for media representatives - through entrance № 2, participants and guests of the event - through entrance № 1.

In order to reduce the risks of the spread of a new coronavirus infection (COVID-19), the use of personal protective equipment during the event is mandatory for all attendees.
