The Presidential Library to spotlight the origins of the formation of the system of state security bodies

In November and December 2023 as part of the video lecture Knowledge of Russia the Presidential Library is holding a series of lectures dedicated to the professional holiday of employees of state security agencies.

The video lecture participants will be able to learn about the most striking, interesting, significant events and operations in the history of special services, and about the specifics of professional activity.

The first lecture of the series entitled “The Origins and Formation of the System of State Security Bodies” will take place on November 30, 2023 at 16:00.

Sergei Vasilievich Rats, president of the Officers' Support Foundation of State Security Service, will tell about the history of the creation and structure of the first emergency body to combat counter-revolution, sabotage and profiteering, as well as the first high-profile cases of the All-Russian Emergency Commission - the disclosure of the so-called Lockhart conspiracy, the liquidation of the anti-Soviet organizations "Tactical Center" and "National Center". 

The video lecture “The Origins and Formation of the System of State Security Bodies” is free. The meeting will be broadcast on the Presidential Library’s portal in the Live broadcasts section in accordance with the program of live events, as well as on the institution’s Rutube-channel, on the social networks VKontakte and Odnoklassniki.

Entrance to the Presidential Library is carried out only by prior registration and upon showing a passport: for media representatives - through entrance № 2, participants and guests of the event - through entrance № 1.
