Presidential Library hosts Day of Naval Knowledge

On September 5, 2024 at 10:00 Moscow time, the Presidential Library will hold the Day of Naval Knowledge, a traditional event held at the beginning of the academic year.

The event will bring together military personnel, specialists in the study, preservation, and promotion of the Russian Navy's heritage, heads of educational institutions, representatives of military history museums, cadets, and students. Representatives from the General Staff of the Russian Navy and the Administration of St. Petersburg have been invited to participate. Higher educational institutions from various cities in Russia plan to join via video conference.

Materials regarding the 120th anniversary of the birth of Admiral of the Fleet of the Soviet Union, Hero of the Soviet Union, and People's Commissar of the Navy during the Great Patriotic War, N. Kuznetsov, will be presented to participants and guests of the event. A discussion will also take place about the creation and installation of a monument to Admiral Fyodor Ushakov, a holy righteous warrior. The heroic history of the Solovetsky Young School and its graduates will be discussed with the participants. The event will conclude with a screening of a segment from the documentary "The Main Naval Parade of Russia: 2024."

The event is available for everyone. It will be broadcasted on the Presidential Library’s portal in Live Broadcasts section, on the Rutube-channel of the institution, as well as on the social networks VKontakte and Odnoklassniki.
