Presidential Library hosts video lecture about role of the NKVD division in the defence of Leningrad in 1941

As part of the video lecture "Knowledge of Russia", the Presidential Library is continuing a series of lectures on the history of the country's state security agencies. The goal of this cycle is to create a positive image of the Russian government and domestic intelligence agencies.

On September 18, 2024 at 16:00 Moscow time, the Presidential Library will host a lecture that will discuss the role of the NKVD in the defence of Leningrad during World War II.

During lectures on the history of government security agencies, students learn about prominent employees, the most notable, interesting, and significant operations and events in the history of Russian intelligence, as well as the main activities of these agencies.

The event is available for everyone. It will be broadcasted on the Presidential Library’s portal in Live Broadcasts section, on the Rutube-channel of the institution, as well as on the social networks VKontakte and Odnoklassniki.
