Presidential Library continues to talk about role of NKVD division in defenсe of Leningrad in 1941
On October 16, 2024 at 16:00 Moscow time, the Presidential Library will host the second part of a lecture on the role of the NKVD in the defence of Leningrad during World War II. The lecture will be given by Sergey Ratz, a Candidate of Political Sciences and Associate Professor, as well as the President of the Foundation for Support of Reserve Officers of State Security. The first part of the lecture was held at the Presidential Library on September 18th, 2024.
As part of its Knowledge of Russia video lecture series, the Presidential Library is hosting a series of lectures on the history of Russian state security agencies. The goal of this cycle is to promote a positive image of Russia and its domestic intelligence services.
At lectures on the history of state security agencies, students learn about outstanding employees, the most remarkable, interesting and significant operations and events in the history of Russian intelligence services, as well as about the main activities of these agencies.
The event is available for everyone. It will be broadcasted on the Presidential Library’s portal in Live Broadcasts section, on the Rutube-channel of the institution, as well as on the social networks VKontakte and Odnoklassniki.
