
Art exhibition dedicated to volunteerism opened in Presidential Library
From December 5th, 2024 to January 17th, 2025, the Presidential Library welcomes visitors to an exhibition titled We are Volunteers, which was organized by the humanitarian organization Humanitarian Volunteer Corps - Northern Capital with the support of the Presidential Library.
The purpose of this exhibition is to highlight the significance of the volunteer sector in Russia and to showcase the work of talented artists from St. Petersburg, Surgut, and Nizhnevartovsk, who have created 32 works of art that reflect their personal experiences as volunteers and convey the importance of this movement.
The grand opening of the exhibition will be attended by the artists who created the paintings, members of the State Duma and the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg, representatives from the Committee on Social Policy, as well as public organizations and volunteers.
Humanitarian Volunteer Corps - Northern Capital is a non-profit organization that engages in social and volunteering activities in St. Petersburg. Its main focus is on humanitarian missions and providing assistance in emergency situations and areas affected by military operations.

A separate collection dedicated to the various stages of the development of the volunteer movement in Russia has been created on the library's portal. This extensive collection includes official documents, research papers, archival records, and photographs.
