Presidential Library hosts round table dedicated to era of Joseph Stalin
On December 16, 2024, at 11:00 Moscow time, the Presidential Library will host a round table discussion on the personality and legacy of Joseph Stalin (1878-1953). The event will take place as part of the Knowledge of Russia video lecture series.
The panelists include Ilya Ratkovsky, a historian and associate professor at St. Petersburg State University; Kirill Boldovsky, head of the History of the Siege of Leningrad laboratory and senior researcher at the St. Petersburg Institute of Russian History; and teachers from the St. Petersburg University of Telecommunications, including Vladlen Izmozik, a professor of history, and Anton Geht, an associate professor and head of the history and regional studies department.
At the lecture Joseph Stalin: Personality and Epoch, participants will discuss diplomatic relations, domestic and foreign policy of the state during the 1920s and 1950s, as well as facts from the life of Joseph Stalin.
The event is available for everyone. The meeting will be broadcasted on the Presidential Library’s portal in Live Broadcasts section, as well as on the Rutube-channel of the Library, on the social networks VKontakte and Odnoklassniki.
