Take part in Cadet Day with Presidential Library

On 4 April 2025 at 11:00 the Presidential Library on Senate Square, 3, will host the Cadet Day. This year's event is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War and World War II – one of the most important historical events not only for the citizens of Russia, but also for the whole world.

The Presidential Library will summarise the results and announce the winners of the regional stage of the quiz, which was held on the eve of Cadet Day. From 24 to 28 March 2025, children from the regions of Russia took part in the online quiz.

The quiz questions were answered by boys and girls studying in pre-university educational organisations of the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Federal Security Service, the Ministry of the Russian Federation for Civil Defence, Emergencies and Elimination of Consequences of Natural Disasters.

On 4 April at 11:00, the Presidential Library will host an in-person quiz for teams of students of pre-university military educational institutions located in St. Petersburg and Leningrad Region.

The in-person quiz involves the following stages:

- blitz test (each participant will bring points to the team by answering five questions of the test correctly);

- team competition (six participants chosen by the team, working with documents from the library collection, will answer three open questions);

- captains' competition (one question for strong-hearted team captains);

- finalists' competition (two teams with the highest score will answer a challenging question on the topic of the quiz game).

This will be followed by the awarding of the winning team members.

In order to successfully answer the questions of the quiz, it is necessary to carefully study the historical studies and sources presented on the Presidential Library's portalin the selection of materials dedicated to the events of the Great Patriotic War.

The event is available for everyone. The meeting will be broadcasted on the Presidential Library’s portal in Live Broadcasts section, as well as on the Rutube-channel of the Library, on the social networks VKontakte and Odnoklassniki.
