The Presidential Library will present Russia at a World Congress
From 17th to 23rd of August 2013 in Singapore will take place the World Library and Information Congress – the 79th General Conference and Assembly of the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA), which will be attended by the Presidential Library delegation led by the Deputy Director General Paul Tereshchenko.
The “Future Libraries: Infinite Possibilities” theme of 2013 conference shows the best correlation with a strategy of development of Russian first national digital library, what personnel will present the advanced home-based technologies of digital restocking, multimedia production, educational endeavors, and will participate in the “Collections Refill and Development”, “Periodicals Resources and Others”, “Audio, Video and Multimedia Technologies”, “Information Technologies", and "Cataloging" sections.
The Presidential Library key specialists will also represent Russia at the Annual Conference of Directors of National Libraries (CDNL) and a meeting of CIS countries national libraries representatives.
The representatives of the Presidential Library participate the annual forum of the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions since 2009. In 2010 the library has become a permanent IFLA member.
