Academic Council of the Presidential Library to discuss the issue of content creation in the context of national electronic resources development

October 1st, 2014, from 09.00 to 11.00, the Presidential Library will host the 8th meeting of the Academic Council, which is expected to discuss the Presidential Library’s mechanisms of acquisition in the context of the development of national electronic resources. The keynote address will be presented by Director for Information Resources of the Presidential Library, E. Zhabko, who will summarize the current practice and will disclose prospects for the development of this activity. Also there are expected the addresses of representatives of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and of the "National library resource." They will tell about the plans and results of the implementation of decisions to establish and develop the National Electronic Library, will share their experience of interaction with the authors and right holders of modern editions.

The discussion will be attended by heads and experts from the leading national universities, libraries, archives, museums, and research organizations in the country. For the first time the event will be attended by the leaders of the Russian State Film Fund and the Central Archives of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
