
The Presidential Library will participate in the inter-regional conference with focus on the Stolypin reforms
On November 9, 2016, at 10 am the Presidential Library will participate via videoconference mode in inter-regional research-to-practice videoconference entitled “Stolypin's modernization: a historical experience and the prospects for further development.” The event is held in cooperation with the Volgograd Oblast Center of Information Resources of the Presidential Library on the basis of the Volgograd Oblast Universal Scientific Library named after M. Gorky with the participation of Volgograd State Pedagogical University. The event will be aired on the Presidential Library website under Live broadcasts.
Videoconference is timed to the 110th anniversary of the Pyotr Stolypin agrarian reforms. Participants will discuss the results and lessons of agricultural modernization, summarize the historical experience of Stolypin reforms for the modernization of current Russia.
During the discussion, speakers will identify Stolypin in a historical context, consider the basic directions of his agrarian reforms and the problems of their implementation, also focusing on the development of Stolypin's ideas of modernization of Russia in some conservative projects in Russian emigre community.
Managers and employees of cultural and educational institutions, teachers, government officials and non-governmental organizations, students of educational institutions of secondary and higher vocational education scheduled to participate in the videoconference. The Presidential Library, the Altai Regional Universal Scientific Library named after V. Y. Shishkov, the State Scientific Library of Krasnoyarsk Krai, the Novosibirsk State Regional Scientific Library, the Saratov Regional Universal Scientific Library, the National Library of the Republic of Karelia and the Foundation for Study of the Heritage of P. A. Stolypin in Moscow will join the event in a videoconference mode.
The accreditation of planning to attend the event into the Presidential Library media representatives will run until 12 pm on November 8, 2016.

The attached form must specify a media name, a full name of media representative, a date and a place of rep’s birth, full passport or picture id details (series, number, when and by what body it was issued), a place of registration, a carry-on equipment, and the contact phone numbers.
Please be aware, that the media representatives enter the Presidential Library through an entrance № 2 and strictly with passport or picture id.
