
Christmas concert of the State Academic Capella — on the Presidential Library website
Shortly before the New Year’s on December 28, 2017, the concert of the Chamber Orchestra of the State Academic Capella of St. Petersburg will be aired live on the Presidential Library website. This will be a wonderful Christmas gift for the admirers of musical art. The broadcast starts at 4:30 pm.
The Academic Chapel is one of the oldest national professional musical institutions, which dedicated their work to the formation and development of the national professional musical culture. Since its foundation, the Capella is the most important source of musical education in Russia and is widely known in Europe. The music of such outstanding composers as Johannes Brahms, Antonin Dvorak, Astor Piazzolla, Johann Strauss, Leroy Anderson and others will be performed under the conduction of Iliya Derbilov at the concert in the Presidential Library.
This day the songs that are remain the symbols of the New Year and Christmas will sound as well — a march from the ballet “The Nutcracker” and the dance of a Fairy Dragee by Peter Tchaikovsky.
The concert will be aired under the Live Broadcast section on the Presidential Library website.
It is stands to mention that the Presidential Library and the St. Petersburg State Academic Capella have long and friendly relationship, and having musical concerts of the Capella in the historical interiors of the Presidential Library has already become a good tradition.
