The slogan of the VIII "Foreign View" Contest - "Ecology of Life", as the theme of the beauty of the surrounding world and the upbringing of a careful attitude to nature through art is close to many. Contest works show the influence of a man on the environment, the role and place of people in maintaining the ecological balance. It is not just about unique natural monuments, game reserves, forest reserves, national parks, but also about the life of wild animals in their natural habitat. For the first time, not only photos, but also video materials participated in the contest.

In total, more than 3600 works were presented from 22 countries and 60 cities of the Russian Federation. The most active participants were residents from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Tyumen, Rostov-on-Don and Novosibirsk.

Within the framework of the VIII International Annual Multimedia Contest "Foreign View", the Presidential Library established the nomination "The Ball of Victory", timed to coincide with the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
