Russian Historical Society

A digital selection, dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the Russian Historical Society, encloses the documents from the State Archive of the Russian Federation and the Russian State Historical Archive, reflecting different aspects of activities of the foundation; the materials from the private collection of a chairman of Society in a period from 1879 to 1909, the Secretary of State and a member of the Council of State Alexander Alexandrovich Polovtsov, − mainly his diaries, which he kept through his entire live. The complete set of collected works, released by the Society during its existence (148 volumes), is included as well. Video lectures of Y. B. Gruznova review the main accomplishments of the revived Society (since 2012).
