Russia – Korea: from the history of relations

The Russian Federation and the Republic of Korea are strategic partners in the Far East. The collection includes research works, essays, archival documents and photographs that reflect certain aspects of bilateral relations in different historical periods. Special attention is given to the subject of resettlement of Koreans to the Far East of the Russian Empire in the second half of the 19th - early 20th centuries.

The core of the collection is represented by archival documents of the Russian State Historical Archive. It also includes the materials from the Russian State Library and from a number of Far Eastern institutions: the Amur Regional Library, Far Eastern State Research Library, Birobidzhan Regional Universal Scientific Library, Pacific State University.

It is planned to further expand the collection to include both historical and contemporary research works.
