Cataloguing rules
Part 1 of Russian Cataloguing Rules contains general stipulations and rules for cataloguing. Structure and content of bibliographic record, prescribed sources of information, abbreviations and spelling, bibliographic relationships, content and rules for formulating data elements in each area of single-level and multi-level bibliographic description, etc. are defined.
Part 2 of Russian Cataloguing Rules describes special aspects of cataloguing certain types of documents: books and pamphlets, early printed books, sheet music, maps and visual materials, electronic resources, etc.
