Marking the Day of Family, Love and Fidelity: «Family – the soul of Russia» exhibition underway at the Tsaritsyno Museum Reserve in Moscow

A new exhibition «Family – the soul of Russia» is being underway at the Tsaritsyno Museum Reserve (Moscow) until August 5 2018.

«Family – the soul of Russia» exhibition, which spotlights the basic values in the life of every person — love, family, children, parents, home, — has been held for the second time as a part of the project timed to the Day of Family, Love and Fidelity.

«Family – the soul of Russia» project - a significant social initiative which has united the artists of different age groups, professional and amateur - debuted last year to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Day of Family, Love and Fidelity. A year ago the organizing committee received over 450 works. The competent jury chose the winners, whose works were selected to be shown at the Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve exhibition. Apart from that, the exhibition showcased paintings of famous masters from the collections of Russian museums.

The success of the project and numerous favorable reviews of the first exhibition’s visitors convinced the organizers of the necessity to hold this project every year. In 2018 the organizing committee received around 5000 works focused on the «Family — the soul of Russia» theme.

Paintings, drawings and sculpture of the 18th—21st cc from the collections of the State Tretyakov Gallery, ROSIZO Museum and Exhibition Center, Tsaritsyno Museum Reserve, Pereslavl-Zalessky Museum-Reserve, Tver Regional Art Gallery, Rybinsk Museum Reserve, Tula United Museums, Sergiyev Posad Museum of Toys are displayed at the Kazakov Hall of the Tsaritsyno Museum Reserve Grand Palace as a part of the project. Most of the exhibits are dedicated to childhood.
