Marking FIFA World Cup 2018 in Russia: An outdoor goalpost-shaped art-object displays a photo chronicle of football in Vladimir

A new exhibition «An English Game. A Photo Chronicle of Football in Vladimir» is mounted in Vladimir. A goalpost-shaped art-object, placed by the Vladimir-Suzdal Museum at the entrance to «Chambers» Museum Center, displays the photographs which spotlight football in Vladimir.

The photographs from the museum’s collection show the highlights of the city’s football history from 1911. 24 photographs in particular illustrate an episode of the match between the teams of Vladimir Governorate and Saxony, the construction and renovation of the «Torpedo» stadium, celebration of the 850th anniversary of Vladimir at the stadium etc.
