The Memory of Russia: Virtual tour around Daniil Granin’s sites and a webpage dedicated to the writer to appear in St. Petersburg to mark the centenary of his birth
Historians, writers, artists, directors, authorities and residents of St. Petersburg commemorated the writer Daniil Granin, who died at the age of 98 last year, on July 4 2017.
City institutions have been preparing to celebrate the memorial date – the centenary of the birth of Daniil Granin. The State Memorial Museum of the Defence and Siege of Leningrad is going to launch a virtual tour around “Granin’s sites”.
Librarians of the National Library of Russia (NLR) have began working on a webpage focused on the anniversary of Daniil Granin, who had been the President of the NLR’s Society of Friends for a long time. This material will become available as a part of the Russian World of Literature online guide to literature and local history Internet resources, created in 2015.
Developers of the resource are going to ask readers to share the role of Daniil Granin’s books in their lives in order to create a special page.
