Society and Culture: “Pristine Russia” exhibition in St. Petersburg displays the highlights of the All-Russian Festival of Nature photographs

23 July 2018

Until August 26, 2018 the ROSPHOTO Museum and Exhibition Center is holding an exhibition “Pristine Russia”, which showcases 160 vivid photographs of the All-Russian Festival of Nature.

Pictures of the best Russian wildlife photo artists unveil the unique nature of Russia from the East to its western boarders. Expressive landscapes of the inaccessible and beautiful places of Russia — purest lakes, deep rivers, mountain tops and coasts of thirteen seas, the life of animals and birds, mysteries of the micro world — are on display as a part of the “Pristine Russia” festival underway in St. Petersburg.

The photo exhibition also features new wildlife documentaries, produced by Live Planet TV channel, and a series of master classes by well-known nature photographers.

In 2018 the All-Russian Festival of Nature “Pristine Russia” celebrated its anniversary. Five years ago it was initiated as a large-scale exhibition and festival project focused on the original nature of Russia.

It was a successful and popular idea: residents of many cities countrywide and abroad love and are looking forward to the major holiday of nature. Over five years more than 2.5 million people in 71 countries around the world have visited the festival.
