In commemoration of the Navy Day: Major events in St. Petersburg and Kronstadt

The celebration of the Navy Day of Russia, scheduled for July 29, 2018 will be held in the waters of the Neva River in St. Petersburg and Kronstadt.

Forty-one battleships, thirty-eight airplanes and helicopters and over four thousand servicemen of all fleets will take part in the major Navy Parade.

The parade in St. Petersburg is opening at 11 a.m., the parade in Kronstadt at 12:30 p.m.

The historical part of the parade will be opened by artillery boats of the Caspian Flotilla with banners of glorious marine corps units, which heroically defended and liberated Leningrad, Sevastopol and Novorossiysk during the Great Patriotic War.

The modern part – is the display of power of the Russian Navy – the show of the latest armament.

A video tour, that will unveil the exiting history of the Russian Navy, will be launched on large screens in Palace Square at 2 p.m. Actress Anna Geller and People’s Artist of Russia Nikolay Burov will do the narration.
