History and Culture: Exhibition of the icon “Saint Equal-to-the-Apostles Princess Olga. Two centuries. Two images” underway at the Pskov Museum-Reserve

On July 24, 2018 the Pskov Museum-Reserve launched the exhibition “Saint Equal-to-the-Apostles Princess Olga. Two centuries. Two images” as a part of its “Pskov icon” exposition.

Visitors will have a chance to see the icon “Grand Princess Olga of Russia”  dated between 18th and 19th cc. The current presentation continues the project “New discoveries of museum restorers”.

The icon “Grand Princess Olga of Russia” belongs to the museum’s pre-war collection. During the Great Patriotic War it was moved to Germany, but due to the efforts of museum researchers it was returned to its native city. In commemoration of the Day of Saint Equal-to-the-Apostles Princess Olga, museum restorers have put on display this remarkable item for Pskov residents.
