Exhibition “Icons of 17th – early 20th cc. in collections of the State Museum of History of St. Petersburg” is opening on November 22, 2018 in Rumyantsev Mansion.

The collection of Russian icon painting from the State Museum of History of St. Petersburg will go on display for the first time. It will showcase more than 50 icons of 17th – early 20th cc., painted in Moscow and St. Petersburg, Palekh and Kholuy, Mstyora, in the north of Russia and in the Urals. The exposition will highlight the imperial, also known as the synodal, period of Russian icon painting, which spanned more than two centuries.
