Libraries and Society: Astrakhan Regional Research Library to take part in the Fourth Caspian Media Forum

N.K. Krupskaya Astrakhan Regional Research Library will take part in the Fourth Caspian Media Forum, which aims to promote information exchange between Mass Media representatives of Caspian countries. The forum is opening on September 19, 2018.

At the media forum the region’s main library will present two exhibition projects. The project “Major dates in the history of Astrakhan press in the light of the library’s 180th anniversary” will focus on the Astrakhan periodical press as an integral part of the cultural heritage of Russia.

The exhibition project “The image of the Caspian region in the mirror of the history of Caspian peoples” will display book rarities which provides insight into the historical interaction and cultural cooperation between the peoples of Caspian areas and countries: Russia, Iran, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan etc from the regional library’s book rarities collection.
