IT and Society: Novgorod State University goes on developing the virtual reality platform of cultural and historical centers of small towns

The Novgorod State University innovation enterprise LLC “Magkom” has been involved in developing the project “The virtual reality platform of cultural and historical centers of small towns”. This project has gained support of the Foundation of Innovations Promotion as part of the program “Youth Innovation Centers Support”, aimed to involve the youth in innovations.

The purpose of the project is to launch a virtual reality platform of cultural and historical monuments of Russia’s small towns with the water tank tower in Staraya Russa as an example. The history of the century-old water tower available via the virtual museum will give an opportunity to visitors of Staraya Russa to discover the town’s  history.
