Regions of Russia: Russia to launch a program to restore small historical towns in 2019

The Minister of Culture Vladimir Medinsky noted, that it took several years to develop it. It will be underway for the next five or six years. The Minister explained that each town had its own particular start date depending basically on the availability of design and estimate records. 

Restoration work is expected to involve Torzhok, Vyborg, Gorokhovets, Chistopol, Suzdal, Rostov, Staraya Russa, Arzamas and Tutayev. The key purpose of the project is to boost tourism attractiveness of towns.
