Electronic libraries: First electronic library in the native language to be launched in Ingushetia

8 August 2018

Ingushetia is putting efforts into creation of the electronic library in the native language, which is expected to debut this year.

Representatives of the Memorial Complex to Victims of Repressions note, that the complete collection of rare books of Ingush writers from the personal library of the famous Ingush scholar, writer and public figure Ibrahim Dahkilgov, has been presented to the memorial. The collection, featuring about 400 books, has been donated by the widow of the literary scholar. The new library will be named after the writer.

All the books will be digitized to become accessible to readers, who take an interest in literature or study the Ingush language. Other books of Ingush writers, which came out either in Russian or in Ingush language, are expected to enter the collection.

It will be the first exclusively Ingush electronic library.
