Regions of Russia: First International Forum of Ancient Cities underway in Ryazan

The 1st International Forum of Ancient Cities, which unites cities of the world older than 500 years, is being held in Ryazan, August 12-19, 2018.

The forum is intended to develop international and intercultural cooperation, improve relations between countries and regions and promote domestic and international tourism. 

For the first time Ryazan will become the venue for non-stop discussion of urgent problems of ancient cities: development of infrastructure, history, tourism, cultural heritage (ethnography, crafts, historical reenactment, architecture) and many other issues. The forum’s eventful program features conferences, round-table talks, and panel discussions which will bring together Russian and international experts.
