IT and Culture: International conference “Museum Heritage and Digital Culture” to be launched in St. Petersburg to mark 15th anniversary of the Virtual Russian Museum project

On November 12-14, 2018 the State Russian Museum (St. Petersburg) will hold the International Academic and Practical Conference “Museum Heritage and Digital Culture” to mark 15th anniversary of the Virtual Russian Museum project.

Since 2003 the State Russian Museum has been actively popularizing Russian art countrywide and abroad by means of information technologies. The annual conference is called to spotlight urgent issues of making use of State Russian Museum’s digital resources in education, and sum up the results of activities of the Virtual Russian Museum information and educational centers in cultural and educational institutions.
