Exhibitions: Alexander Deyneka’s drawings on display in Moscow

15 September 2018

On September 14, 2018 the A. V. Schusev State Museum of Architecture (Moscow) opened the exhibition “Sketches of the Global Epoch” – the display of works by the renowned Soviet artist Alexander Deyneka.

Alexander Deyneka is deservedly regarded as one of the founders of the major Soviet style of art, known as socialist realism. The exhibition displays the little-known part of the oeuvre of Alexander Alexandrovich, which gives an insight into the scale of the gift of the artist, who became the symbol of his epoch. The exposition features artist’s works on loan from the Dialogue Gallery, State Tretyakov Gallery and A. S. Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts.

The exhibition will be open from September 14 through November 13, 2018.
