Society and Church: Exhibition about the Monastery of St. John the Baptist underway in the Museum of Astrakhan Culture

The Museum of Astrakhan Culture is continuing to present the “Memories of a Church” series, as a part of its efforts to revive the history of local religious buildings. The exhibition dedicated to the Monastery of St. John the Baptist is currently underway in the museum.

The exhibition showcases materials, which shed light on the history of the monastery: rare photographs from the collection of Sergey Stepanov, drawings of Alexander Markov, Nikolay Rudikov, Svetlana Rubtsova, archival papers and photographs of Vadim Mankov, Alexander Kornoukhov.

The exhibition dedicated to the Monastery of St. John the Baptist will run in the Museum of Astrakhan Culture until December 10.
