Museums of Russia: “People and Objects” exhibition, marking the centenary of the Museum of Oriental Art foundation, to open in Moscow

On October 16, 2018 the State Museum of Oriental Art (Moscow) is opening a new exhibition “People and Objects” timed to coincide with the centenary of the museum’s foundation.

The Museum of Oriental Art is Russia’s only cultural center, which specializes in preservation, research and display of oriental art. The museum holds the collections of fine art, decorative and applied art, about 150 000 objects ranging in date from the 2nd millennium BC up to present days.
