Society and Culture: Theatrical marathon will be held across the country through the Year of Theatre-2019

The highlights of the Year of Theatre, which is to be held in 2019, will be: the opening ceremony of the Year in Yaroslavl and the countrywide theatrical marathon, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Olga Golodets announced at the meeting of the Year of Theatre Organizing Committee.

The All-Russian meeting of leading theatrical figures of Russia in Yaroslavl, the city where the first Russia’s theatre was set up, will become the major event of the year. The grand opening ceremony of the Year will be mounted there, too. Russia’s theatrical marathon will start in Vladivostok, spread through the whole country and come to an end in Kaliningrad. Apart from guest performances it will feature masterclasses, meetings with students, schoolchildren and spectators.
