Museums and Society: “Treasures of Russian Museums” exposition is opening in Moscow as part of “Orthodox Rus’ ― In Celebration of the National Unity Day” Exhibition-Forum

From November 4 through November 25, 2018 the Manege Central Exhibition Hall in Moscow is running an unprecedented exhibition of scale “Treasures of Russian Museums”, which is a part of the 17th Church and Public Exhibition-Forum “Orthodox Rus’ ― In Celebration of the National Unity Day”.

The exposition showcases about 280 artworks on loan from 50 museums of Russia, including old icons and paintings by Karl Bryullov, Orest Kiprensky, Vasily Tropinin, Ivan Aivazovsky, Isaac Levitan, Ilya Repin, Valentin Serov, Boris Kustodiev, Ilya Mashkov and Alexander Deyneka. Some exhibits have been restored specially for the display at the Manege.
