Society and Culture: Film posters of 1914-1919 go on display at the Peter and Paul Fortress

The exhibition “Petrograd. Film Posters of 1914-1919” is currently underway at the Peter and Paul Fortress (St. Petersburg).

The exposition displays over 50 unique film posters which appeared between 1914–1919 on loan from the State Museum of the History of St. Petersburg. Most exhibits are not available in similar museum collections and have never been published before. The gallery of original film posters will also feature bills, documents, extracts from memoirs of contemporaries, fragments of films and newsreel footage of that time.
