The large collection of the papers of Theodore Roosevelt (US president from 1901 to 1909) has been digitized and is now available online from the US Library of Congress.

The Roosevelt papers consist of about 276,000 documents and 461,000 images. They include letters, speeches, executive orders, scrapbooks, diaries, White House reception records and press releases of his administration, as well as family records.

The digitization of the massive collection comes just before the 160th anniversary of Roosevelt’s birthday. The president was born on October 27, 1858, and died on January 6, 1919.
