International Conferences: “Voltaire Readings-2018” to be launched in St. Petersburg

On November 1-2, 2018 the National Library of Russia, Main Building (St. Petersburg) is holding the International Conference “Voltaire Readings. In Commemoration of Vladimir Lyublinsky”.

Participants of the conference will present reports highlighting Vladimir S. Lyublinsky’s  study of Voltaire’s papers, the contribution of Russian and Soviet scholars towards the review of ideas of the Age of Enlightenment. Apart from Russian scholars the conference is attended by specialists from Switzerland and France.

The exhibition “Manuscripts from Voltaire’s Library, published by V. S. Lyublinsky”, dedicated to manuscripts of the French philosopher in print, is opening on November 1.
