Internet and History: “In Memory of Heroes of the Great War of 1914–1918” portal to be launched by the end of 2018

The electronic database of losses of the Russian Imperial Army on the battlefields of World War I is due to become available online by the end of the year, announced participants of “Rossiya Segodnya” International News Agency briefing, which was timed to coincide with the centenary of the end of World War I.

“In Memory of Heroes of the Great War of 1914–1918” portal — is a unique database of archival historical papers dedicated to World War I. It currently features maps and descriptions of the main battles of the Russian Army during World War I, records of losses and decorations given to soldiers and officers.
