Memorial dates of Russia: The National Library of Russia stages a new exhibition “The Right Man in the Right Place” to mark 80th anniversary of the birth of Vladimir Zaitsev

On November 15, 2018 the National Library of Russia, New Building (St. Petersburg) is mounting an exhibition “The Right Man in the Right Place” to mark the 80th anniversary of the birth of Vladimir Nikolayevich Zaitsev, Director General of the National Library of Russia (1985–2010), the first President of the Russian Library Association (1995–2010).

Vladimir N. Zaitsev had headed the National Library of Russia for 25 years during the time of dramatic changes both in the life of the library and in the life of the whole country. The exhibition is highlighting his main achievements: opening of the New Building in Moskovsky Prospekt, foundation of the Russian Library Association, strengthening international relations of the National Library of Russia.

The exposition will be open until December 12.
