World Memory: Exhibition “The Great War through Postcards” launched in Vladimir to mark 100 years since the end of World War I

20 November 2018

The exhibition “The Great War through Postcards” has been opened in the Vladimir Historical Museum (The Vladimir-Suzdal Museum-Reserve) to commemorate the centenary of the end of World War I.

November 11, 2018 marked 100 years since the end of World War I. During the war Russia together with Great Britain, France, Serbia and other states opposed the alliance between Germany, Austria-Hungary and Turkey, which in the end suffered a defeat.

The exhibition showcases 8 postcards from the collections of the Vladimir-Suzdal Museum-Reserve, which portray the realities of the last months of war for Russia.
